It has been a fateful year for the cable news network MSNBC. It seems every month, another host – or even the network itself – is forced to apologize for reporting a factual error or overstepping the bounds of responsible commentary.
The List of topics MSNBC has had to apologize for (you get more details at the link):
The Roberts Affair
The Second Roberts Affair
The Racist Edit Of George Zimmerman’s 911 Call
Mitt Romney Is Racist
Chuck Todd’s Bad Morning
Rick Perry Is Racist
Virginia’s Republicans Are Nazis
Ed Schultz’s Union Ties
Wow. MSNBC either gets a lot of stories wrong or just flat-out lies an awful lot.
Cue the liberal “But…but..FOX News is worse!!!” harpy music in 3…2…1…
The Beltway elite mock critics who say the president’s hiding his radical past from voters. They say there’s nothing there, move along. But if there’s nothing to hide, why is so much hidden?
And if the White House isn’t worried about the public seeing another side of President Obama, why is it trying to reinforce the image of him as a post-racial, pro-American moderate with a slick new Hollywood-produced 17-minute documentary?
The answer, of course, is that it is very much concerned.
The Obama campaign knows its carefully manicured narrative is wearing thin against the drip-drip-drip of revelations about his extremism. And it can’t risk the incumbent being reintroduced to voters this election as an untrustworthy imposter who’s hiding things about himself and his agenda.
Indeed, these are things that must be hidden from the average voter. They are unpatriotic and unelectable things. Things that would concern any red-blooded American, if not the parlor Bolsheviks inside the Beltway media and the Ivory Tower.
THE GOP YOUTH LEADER: Ron Paul, 76, came in second place in yesterday’s Washington State caucus. He once again demonstrated he is the GOP youth leader by capturing almost 50% of 18 to 29 year old voters.
The results were similar in Iowa (48%), New Hampshire (47%) and Nevada (40%). He lost…
If anyone claims they don’t know the difference between conservatives and liberals, they should visit Detroit, Michigan. It is an excellent example of what results from decades of unchallenged liberal leadership. According to the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, “Detroit has been dubbed ‘the…
Dear Mr. President: During my shift in the Emergency Room last night, I had the pleasure of evaluating a patient whose smile revealed an expensive shiny gold tooth, whose body was adorned with a wide assortment of elaborate and costly tattoos, who wore a very expensive brand of tennis shoes and who chatted on a new cellular telephone equipped with a popular R&B ring tone. While glancing over her patient chart, I happened to notice that her payer status was listed as “Medicaid”! During my examination of her, the patient informed me that she smokes more than one costly pack of cigarettes every day and somehow still has money to buy pretzels and beer. You and our Congress expect me to pay for this woman’s health care? I contend that our nation’s “health care crisis” is not the result of a shortage of quality hospitals, doctors or nurses. Rather, it is the result of a “crisis of culture”, a culture in which it is perfectly acceptable to spend money on luxuries and vices while refusing to take care of one’s self or, heaven forbid, purchase health insurance. It is a culture based on the irresponsible credo that “I can do whatever I want to because someone else will always take care of me.” Once you fix this “culture crisis” that rewards irresponsibility and dependency, you’ll be amazed at how quickly our nation’s health care difficulties will disappear.
Concerned that too many “deniers” are in the meteorology business, global warming activists this month launched a campaign to recruit local weathermen to hop aboard the alarmism bandwagon and expose those who are not fully convinced that the world is facing man-made doom.
The Forecast the Facts campaign — led by 350.org, the League of Conservation Voters and the Citizen Engagement Lab — is pushing for more of a focus on global warming in weather forecasts, and is highlighting the many meteorologists who do not share their beliefs.
“Our goal is nothing short of changing how the entire profession of meteorology tackles the issue of climate change,” the group explains on their website. “We’ll empower everyday people to make sure meteorologists understand that their viewers are counting on them to get this story right, and that those who continue to shirk their professional responsibility will be held accountable.”
According to the Washington Post, the reason for the campaign can be found in a 2010 George Mason University surveys, which found that 63% of television weathermen think that global warming is a product of natural causes, while 31% believe it is from human activity.
Yep. That good ol’ leftist practice of censoring anyone who doesn’t immediately act like good little sheep and mindlessly go with the program.
I do not like this Obama mam, I do not like his Health Care Scam. I do not like these liberal crooks, or how they lie and cook the books. I do not like Democrats when they steal, I do not like their secret deals. I do not like this spending spree, because I know nothing is free. I do not like Pelosi’s smug replies, when Boehner complains about all of her lies. I do not like this kind of hope. I do not, nope, nope, nope!
Ron Paul claims to oppose all foreign aid, and that is certainly true when Israel is concerned. However, he voted to continue U.S. payments of $550 million to the Palestinian Authority each year. Why would Congressman Paul, who opposes all foreign aid according to his supporters, vote to continue foreign aid just to the Palestinians?
Ron Paul’s foreign policy is if anything worse than the Obama administration … I consider myself pretty libertarian but you cannot live in a fantasy land. The rest of the world is not going to leave us alone and we need a Commander-in-Chief who understands that. A President Ron Paul would simply not address the challenges we face. So if you’re thinking about Ron Paul because of his domestic issues, think again and look at virtually any of the other candidates and consider how they would be as Commander-in-Chief. That’s the president’s first duty, defending the country.
The prospect of a Ron Paul victory remains terrifying. He is really the ultimate liberal in the race. He wants to legalize drugs, repeal the Patriot Act, slash our military spending, pull out of Afghanistan, and remove all limits on abortion. On these issues, he’s way, way to the left of Obama. What makes him a conservative is hard to tell. “But, whatever he is, he would be a disaster as the Republican candidate. His bland assertion in the last debate, that ‘anyone’ will beat Obama is both self-serving and inaccurate. He wouldn’t. Anyone who votes for Paul and is not brought up short by his denuding us in our defenses against terrorism and his passivity in the face of Iranian nuclear weapons, has to realize that nominating him is tantamount to re-electing Obama.
The stores will soon be closing and many of you are still wondering what we want Christmas. Actually, no one has asked us that question, but we will answer it anyway. We want to increase the membership of the Republican Security Council (RSC) so it will be more effective in promoting peace…
Jaget: Someone who speaks truth to lies! A righteous gentile that is a breath of fresh air. Incredible to hear someone express the obvious(as those among us with a hint of moral compass scratch our heads in astonisment), which happens to be Orwellianly missing from daily discourse by media, Hollywood types and politicos and self righteous Liberals (Leftists, Progressives, etc.).
